Wabaunsee County is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Management Director to coordinate the County’s emergency preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery efforts. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Board of County Commissioners. Qualifications: Five years of experience in emergency management, public safety, military service, or a related field preferred. Must be able to obtain Kansas Certified Emergency Manager (KCEM) certification and complete required FEMA/NIMS training. The Director will coordinate emergency services and disaster operations throughout Wabaunsee County and work with local, regional, state, and federal partners.
