
Harley graduated from Lyndon High School, Lyndon, KS, in 2004, attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, and graduated from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS, in 2010, with Bachelor of Science degree.
As a Petroleum Geologist, Harley enjoyed working in the petroleum business and was employed by many Petroleum companies throughout his career. He especially enjoyed his time as an independent contractor, prospecting and making new oil discoveries.
Harley's hobbies and passions were for fishing, cooking, looking for new rocks, working on his Dodge Dakota, the Kansas State Wildcats, the Wichita State Shockers, the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, working on oil rigs, brewing beer, cooking, grilling, and helping Stacey decorate year-round for the Holidays. He was known for coming up with thoughtful Birthday and Christmas gifts for his loved ones and friends.
Harley leaves behind his girlfriend and partner of 10 years, Stacey Myers of Yukon, OK. and their beloved pet rabbit, Olaf. Additionally, he is survived by his mother Laura (Lawrence), his father Robert "Bob" (Shirley) Sayles, his siblings Laurina (Josh) Lloyd, Luke Hannan, Levi Hannan, Dalayna Majors, K.C. Majors, and his nephew Conrad Hannan.
All family members and friends are blessed with the precious memories of their time with him.
A visitation will take place from 9:30am to 10:30am on Friday May 1, 2026 at Parker Price and Davidson Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave in Topeka, Kansas, with the celebration of life service to follow. After the service, you are invited to join us at Rochester Cemetery for the inurnment. Following the inurnment, the family will receive loved ones at the Parker Price and Davidson Reception
