He is survived by his wife Ravae McDowell Eteuini and son Naseri Eteuini of Manhattan. His brothers, Samuelu and Rimoni. His sisters, Sepoima, Iliui, Afiafi, Uatea and Siaopo all from Oceanside, Ca. Numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces, as well as numerous cousins and family who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Eteuini Eteuini and Siaopo Amituana'i Mataafa, brothers Naseri Letua and Talapepa Eteuini all of Oceanside, CA.
Malo was born on March 12, 1957, in Nua Se'etaga, American Samoa and moved to CA in 1969. He came to Manhattan in January 1977 on a football scholarship to Kansas State University and graduated with a BS degree in Criminology in 1980. He moved to Olathe after graduation, began working in the restaurant/hospitality industry and married the love of his life in 1981. He was blessed with the birth of his son in 1986. Malo retired in 2007.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 11 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 612 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan. A Celebration of Life is to follow at 4:00 PM at the Blue Hills Room, 2315 Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear your purple.
