Chief of Police

THE CITY OF ONAGA, KANSAS, is accepting applications for the full-time position for Chief of Police. Must have excellent communication, organizational, reasoning and public relation skills. Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older; a U.S. citizen; have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent; be in good physical condition; and have a good criminal record free of any serious traffic, misdemeanor, or felony convictions. Must provide current Kansas law enforcement certification from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center OR upon successful completion of the application process, you will be required to attend the basic course at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC).
